546 Conversano Mima x Seela (Maestoso II Ambrosia)

This beautiful boy was not planned by me. After years of breeding I wanted to use my energy and time riding. However, Seela had been bred before returning here to Cameo Lipizzans. The stallion choice was one I would have made myself, and to my surprise I found I was thrilled with the prospect of having a foal to work with again.
LIke mother like son, this little boy tried to arrive upside down. Seela allowed us to reposition him and out he came. My "normal" for getting new foals used to humans was to take my book and sit on a stool in the stall. This allowed the foal to have a chance to visit or not. I would also groom and fuss over the mare. Sometimes I got part way through my book. One foal took an entire book. I'm not sure I even got through the first paragraph with Callahan. He came right up and sniffed me all over then folded up his long legs went down and fell asleep in the sunshine streaming through the door. Callahan is still happiest being with a human. I often take him upto the arena at lesson time just to hang out in the center with me as lessons go on around him.
